Joshua Hernandez is currently in his 4th year of teaching music and his second year as Director of Music at Banning High School. He directs the Banning High School Wind, Percussion, Jazz, Choir ensembles as well as the Pit Orchestra. Mr. Hernandez also teaches piano labs and holds private lessons. Mr. Hernandez completed his undergraduate degree in Music Education at California State University San Bernardino in 2021 and earned his Masters in Education at National University in 2024. His main instruments are Bb Clarinet, piano, and voice. He has performed with multiple ensembles including; CSUSB’s wind ensemble, orchestra, chamber choir, chamber ensembles, clarinet choir. Outside of school Mr. Hernandez has participated with the Temecula Valley Symphony Chorus, the Southern California Choral Artists, the San Bernardino Valley College Symphonic Band, various church choirs, and currently with the Gold Wind Symphony. Mr. Hernandez currently resides in Riverside CA, when not working he enjoys attending concerts, roller skating, hiking, and playing video games.
